Kindig Scholarship Fund Information
Kindig Scholarship Fund was established in memory of a wonderful Christian woman who loved children and had been a camp counselor for many years. When Carol Kindig died in 1987, she left a husband and a 15 yr old daughter. Her church, Lodi Congregational, and her family started the fund with Solid Rock Camp to continue her dedication to church camping.
The fund is for those who cannot attend camp due to family financial difficulties. This fund is meant to cover a portion of the camper’s registration fees. Our Kindig Fund disbursement goal for 2008, is 40% of the camper’s portion of the camp registration fee. The definite amount given to each camper will be dependent on the number of applications received. If your church offers a campership, the 40% would be applied to the amount the camper is to pay. The fund is limited to one camper scholarship per family.
To apply, please write a paragraph or letter describing your need or the need of another camper’s family. Include the camper’s name, reasons for need, your church’s name, pastor’s name and phone number.

Deadline for the scholarship is May 15, 2009 .
**If a camper has already submitted an application for camp, this scholarship can be applied for if a scholarship letter is submitted. This would result in a refund of the portion paid by the camper.
